Midsomer Norton skatepark was campaigned for in 1989 and it was finally built in 2010, the skate scene had died off over the years and Lucy Mitchell and her husband tried their best to get everyone back on boards, to bring back the great skate community the town had in the 80's, 90's and early 00's. There is now a great park that deserves a great scene, Lucy and her husband are doing all they can by growing the Sunday Skate Club and have managed to get lessons into a local primary school.

For Pass The Torch 2023, Lucy has put forward Abe.

Abe, 12

"The reason we chose Abe is he’s the most committed little guy and always keen to help out, he comes along to every session, and goes out of his may to make sure everyone is having fun, he is supportive and kind, spending every spare minute at the skate park. The instructor was keen to have Abe as he listens and is willing to have a go and follows  instructions well and is liked by all."
