A DIY community skate project in South London, applied for the 2021 DIY Fund to finish the ledge, adding a fun box and running some skate lessons. The money was used towards materials and to pay a skate coach for group lessons.
After building a China gap rail, they held a hugely successful skate jam, with loads of people attending in support and Clown boards given out to the local kids.
Since the fund they have continuously built more obstacles, each getting bigger.
The 2023 DIY Fund was granted to The Grove to support their plans to build a big FDR style bowl corner with an archway leading to the garden. Alongside supporting the community garden with whatever they need.
